INTERNAL BLEEDING during surgery of TONSILS. MALIGNANT?

Resolved Question:

Hello! I would love to come back to our daughter which i have asked latest in the consultation number 177373.
Now, one year later after it all started we had today surgery to remove tonsils and it went all wrong due to internal bleeding. The doctor said that ince she was cleaning up the phlegm, which she had a lot, in the throat it started. She stopped the surgery and first said that she has never seen anything like this before but then smoothed it. She also said that something seems to be enlarged somewhere in the passages between nose and ear.
Basicly we are totally freaked out. Could this happen what happened? Does this indicate some further disease, possible malignant? Or was it rather a bad luck... We have been all the time scared about the lymphoma, could that show this.
The girl has been otherwise healthy although she had a long cough for some 4-5 weeks prior to surgery. Our pediatrician told some weeks before the surgery that the tonsils and lymph nodes looked much better than last year. And now, such a hickup. Please advise.
Thank you!
Kaido

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
I am surprised that you have not tried medicines even though you have such a severe attention deficit problem leading to changes in your social and work environment. Its true that some people start abusing the ADHD medicines, but if you keep following the doctors prescriptions, it should never be a problem. To date, I have atleast 30-40 patients who are seeking treatment for ADHD regularly, and to help you with your anxiety, none of them are abusing it.
Its good that you have tried so amny things, and I would suggest that you shoud continue using them with medicines as well. Among the medicines, methylphenidate and adderal are the good drugs for adhd in adulthood. You may start them in low doses like say 18mg methyphenidate and then gradually increase it further.
Also bupropion is a good and safe medicine for adult adhd. It can be started in the dose of 150mg and then gradually increased to 300mg. All these medicines have to be taken in the day time or afternoon time.
As all these medicines are scheduled medicines, they will not be avaailable over the counter and you would require a prescription from a local psychiatrist to procure these medicines.
Hope this helps,
IN case if you have any further query, do let me know.
Kind regards
Dr. Srikanth Reddy

Dr. Reddy thanks for your response, it was helpful and kind of relieving to hear some of the details. I am not sure how Doctor Spring works or if you have a private practice how that works but is it possible to do online assessments (video chat, email, phone etc) and if you agree medication would be a good approach for me then to move forward (as long as it works with my insurance) or do I have to find someone around my area? Actually I decided to look and noticed you are in Mumbai so probably is not a way but again not sure how Soctor Spring works so I will still ask. Thanks again for your help. Have a nice day!

Hello,
Doctor Spring is an online platform where patients clarify their health related doubts or seek a second opinion. As DoctorSpring.com is an online forum, legally we are not supposed to prescribe medications without physically examining you. Such regulation are primarily meant for the safety of the patients as well as the Doctor. Further any prescription given in E-mail will not be honored by the pharmacy in your country. So there is no question of insurance supporting it or not.Sincere apologies for the same. So that is a big limitation for us.
You can always take the print out of our discussion to a local psychiatrist in your area who would be happy to start you on ADHD drugs.
Hope this helps,
Regards.
