Hi,
Thank you for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I have noted your symptoms. The possibilities include : 1. Plantar fasciitis, 2. Peripheral neuropathy.
In plantar fasciitis, there is inflammation of soft tissues underneath the skin.
In peripheral neuropathy, there is mild damage of nerves located in the skin.
Investigations such as ultrasound and nerve conduction studies would help in confirming the diagnosis.
It can be treated with medications.
Best wishes,

Doctor, last evening, I observed a very mild swelling on top side of my foot(above ankle area) when i came from office and removed my shoes....is it because of the 10 long hours of wearing shoes, is it common to get certain mild swelling at times after sitting or standing for long hours? I pressed it for quite sometime and did not see it as a pitting edema
After half an hour , the swelling could not be seen
Yes, this type of oedema can occur after a sitting for a long duration.Small breaks and intermittent walking during long works hours is advised.
