Implantation bleeding.

Resolved question:
my ex gf and I had sex on feb 3rd-5th, there was some bleeding, and she was spotting all week that week. The 8th she said she hit her period. we broke up on the 14th and she sex on the 24th with someone else and is now pregnant. Her next period should have been the 9th. She was spotting the week of the March 5th and took a test, it was negative. On March 6th, it was negative in the morning, then turned positive after coming back to it. she took 3 more later that day, they were all positive.
She is not on birth control, and had been off of it for 4-5 months prior. She does not think she ovulated in January or did not have an egg that month, it felt different. but thinks she did in February.
She is also very sure what she had on the 8th was a period. I have read that is possible if conception is close enough to a period before the zygote can attach, it is possible to go through period symptoms shortly after being pregnant because of the 5-10 implantation period. Is it medically possible for this baby to mine? Would an ept test on March 5th show negative if she was pregnant on Feb 3rd-5th?
She started to have morning sickness and tender breasts around March 10th, the day after she should have started her period. She is very sure she had a period and ovulated in February.
Can a first pregnancy visit tell how far along the baby is? will there be a big difference if 19-20 days is the conception difference. Is any of what I'm saying even Medically plausible?

Hello
Thanks for writing to us at DoctorSpring with your health concern.
Firstly, if she is sure that on 8th she had a proper period, then it is not possible that she conceived between Feb 3rd - 5th.
Even if conception occurs close to an approaching period, then the implantation bleeding is different from a proper period.
Implantation period is much lighter and lasts for a shorter duration.
It is far more likely that she conceived around the 24th because that is when she is likely to be ovulating, after a period on the 8th.
Again, regarding the pregnancy test, if she conceived on Feb 3rd - 5th, a test taken on March 5th would definitely show up positive, if she had regular cycles.
If she has an early pregnancy visit, then a scan would be done.
The scan is quite accurate, if done early on in pregnancy.
The margin of error 5 to 7 days, in early pregnancy scans, and the difference between the two acts of intercourse is almost 3 weeks.
So yes, with a scan done as early on in the pregnancy as possible, it is possible to make out who is the father.
Based on the facts provided by you, I do not think you are the father.
Please have a scan done and let me know the exact report, that would make my diagnosis more specific.
Take care.
Please feel free to discuss further.
Thankyou
