Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
I need a few more details before i can guide you further.
- What are the symptoms preceding your headache, or migraine attack? - such as seeing blind spots, paresthesia, weakness? This is to assess the severity of your migraine.
- How often do you get migraine apart from the recent episodes?
- Is anybody else in your family suffering from migraine?
- Any other symptoms such as nausea or vomiting?
- Where is the pain? Is it on any specific side or through out your head?
Even a stressful job, can lead to tension headaches. It can further lead to hypertension. Have you checked your BP recently?
In both the cases, lifestyle change is what is required. With your stressful job atmosphere it will be difficult but certain calming techniques such as yoga or meditation needs to be incorporated in your lifestyle.
Since you have repeated episodes of headaches, lasting for long duration, it would be better to start preventive medications. These preventive medications would reduce the frequency and severity of headaches.
Good options are flunarizine, topiramate and beta blockers (propranolol) tablets.
In addition, for relief of headache, you may take rizatriptan tablets, as and when you have headaches.
There is no need to repeat the brain scan now.

Regards.

The pain varies pressur all over head
Pressure point pain by temples and once in a while on certain spots on head. Tonight
It bothered me bottom head by neck like pressure
I can't take loud noises still
Seems only anti inflammatory works
Last one I took Thursday night I didn't feel migraine or headache until Saturday afternoon
Doctor says I did mri 18 months ago
Mra 12 months ago and ct scan March so doesn't want to do any more
But those tests were following fall

Thank you for posting your query.
I have noted your symptoms. They are suggestive of migraine, considering the positive family history and sensitivity to light and sound.

My final question is it normal migraine lasts one week
It really perseverated this time with periods when I took anti inflammatory where it let up before returning

Hello,
There is no fixed period of migraine.
It can come and go whenever there is an aggravating factor.
Sometimes it is more severe than other times. There have been periods where patients have complained of migraine for more than a week. Please take the medicines as i mentioned. And let me know in about a week's time.
Regards.
