Resolved question:
I have had a hard bump on the back side of my thigh close to the crease where the leg and butt join. Sometimes it itches or hurts, if I sit in a hot bath sometimes I can pull it off. Is this a skin tag, wart or something more I should be concerned with? The attached pictures are with the lump still on and after I got it off

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I can understand your concern. I reviewed the pictures.
It seems to be seborrhoeic keratosis since it can so easily be taken out. However I would recommend visiting a dermatologist once. If you get it again it will be advisable to let your dermatologist excise it off and send it for testing under a microscope.
The red border around it is unusual for seborrhoeic keratosis.
Hence I recommend getting it tested.
You can apply Mupirocin cream on the area where the growth has been pulled off from.
Please let me know if you have any queries. Take care
It does come right back even when I can get it to pull off, it has been there for months and this is only the second time I have gotten it to actually pull off. Can I ask my general dr. To look at it or would a dermatologist be better?
Hello
Thanks for your reply.
I would recommend going to a dermatologist who can do biopsy for you to see what it is really.
It could be seborrhoeic keratosis or a keratoacanthoma which is a pre cancerous condition.
Take care
