Resolved question:
My left hand sometimes shakes slightly. When I hold it out straight it does not shake. sometimes when I hold a heavy bag or something i feel it slightly shaking. I am a 72 year old male. If i rest it on something in a certain way it shakes slightly. This has been for about six months now. I also was on here Wednesday due to a tingling and slight numbness in my right hand. this started the day after I was chopping ice with my left hand and arm for quite a while this past Monday. It is NOT getting worse but still feels a little funny. I have no problem sleeping at night. does this sound like a SERIOUS PROBLEM? I already asked this question earlier but i did not receive a response.

HI! I still have not recieved an answer to my question about my left hand. Could you please help me?
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
I have noted your symptoms. They are suggestive of mild postural or action tremors. They are not suggestive of any serious disease and we need not worry at this stage.
In future, if the shaking worsens or if shaking occurs at rest, or if there are additional symptoms such as slowness of movements, low voice, or stiffness of arms/legs, we would need to exclude Parkinson's disease (PD).
I hope it helps.
Best wishes,

I do not have any of those symptoms. It is just the tingling feeling in my left hand. I hove no problem sleeping at night. I went to the Doctor and he diagnosed it as postural also. If i rest my hand on my lap it is ok. I have been reading about parkinsons ans even ALS!! should i be concerned about this?
Thank you for getting back and providing more information.
In my opinion, you do not have features of Parkinson's disease or ALS. So, there is no need to worry about them.

Iwent to the doctor last monday and he said that my left hand was brused and that it would probably take about three weeks to heal. He told me not to use my left hand. I am not really sure that that is right. I read on here that it could be a serious problem & now i am really worried again! I read about really bad things like MS or Parkinsons OR ALS!! My hand still feels tinglly at times certain ways that i hold it seems to make it tingle. I can still sleep at night! I am going back to see him today!1 I don't want to worry but it just keeps me so scared that it is something life threatening!! Am I being so worried for nothing? Thank you for putting up with me I just trust your opinion so much!!
Thank you for getting back.
I have noted your anxiety and doctor's opinion. However, I would like to reassure you that your symptoms are not suggestive of any serious neurological disease, such as MS, Parkinson's or ALS.
There is no need to worry as of now.
