Hello,
Thank you for choosing DoctorSpring.
You are unlikely to get a STD from this encounter. Common STDs like HIV, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphillis etc will not get transmitted by indirect or superficial contact. The only risk you have is for a Herpes infection ( Genital Herpes or HSV 2), but it more of a theoretical risk and I do not think you need to be worried about that.
Hepatitis B and C also will not spread like this. I assume that your partner did not have obvious ulcer , rashes or lesions in the genital area. So your risk is low
Hope this clarifies
Feel free to ask followups
Thank you
Patient replied :
How long would it take for herpes to show symptoms?
It can take anywhere between 2 to 14 days for herpes to show symptoms. Since yours is a low risk exposure you need not be worried about STDs much. Let me know if you develop any unusual lesions or blisters (which is very unlikely)
Thank you
