Hello,
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com. I can understand your concern.
I would like to ask a few questions.
Since how long do you have these?
Were there any fluid filled blisters?
Do you smoke?
Did you get this after taking any medication?
Do you get any pain or burning suspension?
Kindly let me know all these details as it will help me give my recommendations as to what it is.
Thanks

I have had this for almost 2 years now, but then it was just 3 dots which were not connected! Now it have spread a little more. I used to smoke. There are no water like blisters. No pain or burning sensation.
I wondered whether this is cause of smoking, so had stopped it for a while, put lemon over lips, all the old skin were peeled off then, but the black marks were still there
No other irritation other than the appearance itself.
I have undergone wrist surgery and kidney stone operation. Am not under any kind of medication.
I used to have acidity problem and used to get throat infection fast, but now it is kind of alright! Just that the lips look like this. Any way to cure it? Should i be worried about it being peutz jeghers?
Hello
Thanks for your reply.
You seem to be having nicotine induced lip pigmentation.
Do you have any other symptoms like abdominal pain which could indicate peutz jegher's syndrome?
Nicotine induced lip pigmentation can be a little difficult to treat, taking antioxidant supplements may be helpful to some extent.
Application of vitamin c serum on the lips can help to some extent.
Please let me know if you have any queries.

To Add further
There is a mucocutaneous pigmentation in peutz jegher, however the pigmentation may involve other areas of oral cavity and also palms and soles. It is usually present since childhood .
There could be repeated bouts of abdominal pain.
In view of your query regarding peutz jegher , it will be difficult to completely rule it out just on the basis of lip pigmentation.
There are multiple polyps in the GI tract. Diagnosis of these polyps through endoscopy/colonoscopy will confirm or rule out the diagnosis of peutz jegher.
Please let me know regarding your symptoms.

I dont have abdominal pain at all. But i used yo have frequent acidity problems which is gone after I stopped smoking. I do have indigestion and gas trouble at present.
I dont have marks on palm or soles, and it wasnt there since childhood. Till 3 years before, my lips were soo damn red.
There is a very small portion of my tongue which is slight blackish. My dad, he never used to smoke and even he is having similar black shade on both sides of his tongue which is even worse than mine

You can start this n see how much it helps you, it might resolve the pigmentation but slowly.
