Resolved question:
Hi doc,
I live in Mumbai, female, married, 31 yrs old, working professional. I got some tonsil/ throatache symptoms from alternating AC- heat in Mumbai recently - which quickly moved away but became flu-like body ache, chills, no real fever but feverish. Soon, I got my allergic cough back. With mornings and evenings of that feverishness and faitgue coming (but no real fever).
I started myself on Cetzine A, last night - It has helped alleviate the allergic cough and reduced my sneezing, runny cold too. But I've been in bed all day from fatigue - I've let my body fight any possible fever (didn't feel feverish at all). Popped Vitamin B capsules for couple days. I plan to do 3 days of Cetzine - 2 more dozes of 1 tab each left..
Since I am to travel abroad in 5 days, I am serious about getting better!
Should I treat myself for Flu alongside Cetzine? i.e. ADD Tylenol or some such in mild dosage?
Regards
Sonali

Hello,
Thanks for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern
It is usually difficult to distinguish strep throat from viral pharyngitis though streptococcus A causes more severe infection generally.
Your symptoms appear viral in origin. Keep using Cetzine A for 3 days and you can add NSAID such as ibuprofen twice daily/ Tylenol which will definitely help alleviate the symptoms. Add H2 blocker e.g ranitidine (on empty stomach) to prevent acidity. Also drink soothing/warm fluids such as lemon tea or have ice water. Gargle 4-5 times a day with saline or warm water with salt.
Hope it helps.
Regards
