Dull pain in head, side of neck. Cause?

Resolved Question:

Hello.

Approx 2 weeks ago I started getting mild headaches, mainly started in the back near my neck. I now have mild discomfort on the right side of my head on the top, my eyes hurt as well, mostly at the back of my eyes. I also feel a dull pain on the top of my head towards the front. My jaw sometimes aches as well as cheek area. At times I feel a slight pain just under my temple on both sides of my head.
The headaches come and go, sometimes they are annoying other times I feel it's barely there. When I wake up I also slightly feel the headache. A week ago I drank a few glasses of vodka and woke up with the headache quite painful on the top front of my head. I've felt nausea twice but really wasnt that bad.
Before all this started, I've felt at times a bit of unbalance, nothing too major but it has happened a few times. I've gotten the unbalance after I started having anxiety so I blamed the anxiety.

I've just gotten a ct scan and MRI. I have attached a photo of the report of the MRI. I've got a photo as well so you can see what was on it.
My issues is knowing if this is serious and what action I need to take. I don't want to wait a year to see if anything changes if I can fix it now. The doctor doesn't know why I have cysts in my brain and whether or not they are causing issues.
Is there any way to get rid of them? And is there any way to determine if they are causing my headaches ?

Any help especially from a neurologist is greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Thank you for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I have noted your symptoms as well as the MRI brain findings.
MRI brain findings are due to dilated Virchow Robin spaces, which contain the normal cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). This is a normal finding/variation seen in some people, and it is not a disease. This does not require any treatment.
Regarding your symptoms, they can not be explained on the basis of MRI brain findings, as the findings are not suggestive of any disease. So, the possibilities include migraine and muscle tension headache.
Medications can be taken for relief of symptoms such as analgesics, and for migraine.
I hope it helps.
Best wishes,
Dr. Sudhir Kumar MD (Medicine), DM (Neurology)

Hello,
In trying to dismiss this as just headaches. But they are still ongoing. At the moment I feel a strong pain in the top of my head and it feels like it is coming from inside my head, I fee a little weird it's not something I have felt before. I feel like I'm sweating and heated. I wouldn't say I'm feeling light headed but I certainly don't feel normal.

Thank you for getting back.
As I earlier mentioned, your MRI is within 'normal' limits. So, we need to consider a diagnosis of one of the primary headache disorders (where the brain imaging is normal) such as migraine or tension type headache.
These can be well treated with medications such as amitriptyline, propranolol, topiramate, divalproex, etc.
Best wishes,
