Chronic PROSTATITIS with SODIUM, CHLORINE problem. Is this serious?

Resolved Question:

we consulted dr Rajiv Goel with a urology problem and one of his recommednation is to get a urine and blood test.

We recevied the report back from the lab and would like to share this report and have someone explain the report
to us. Mostly we were told the problem was not chronic protatitis but a electorlye problem with sodium and chorine.

Can a urologist take a look at this report and please tell us what is the problem, how serious is it, what we can do to recetify
the problem in term of medication or food intake, etc.

Yes, there is ketone excretion in the urine, and also the electrolytes are low.
What are your current symptoms?
Kindly get a CT KUB and we can plan a treatment strategy based on the reports.
Regards,
Dr. Goel

Patient replied :

What exactly does ketone excretion in urine means. Is it dangerous to have low electrolytes. My current most painful symptom is still pain in my testicles. The doctor did not order a Ct Kub but wanted us to do another blood test on the sodium level. I think my current concern is how serious is my situation, how can I correct it, is there any specific food/ drink that I should not take? How and what can I do to correct these problems. Is this situation life threatening. Do please advise me what I can do to correct my situation, before I see the doctor again.

I have seen the reports. Ketones positive can be seen in normal population especially in early morning samples. Ketones can appear in urine because of starving and overnight fasting can cause urine to have ketones.
I shall not be worried about low sodium if you are asymptomatic. Sodium levels change every minute and low sodium without any associated symptoms doesn't merit any intervention; it shall correct by itself.
I shall suggest you to get CT KUB.

Take care
Sincerely
Rajiv Goel
