Resolved question:
I am 51 year old post menopausal female. About 7 months ago I had KUB ultrasound because I had unexplained N V blood in my urine. The ultrasound showed two very small kidney stones in my kidney and my bladder looked completely normal. My urologist said that because I am very slim and the ultrasound was extremely accurate there was no need to have a cystoscopy because even a 2mm lesion would have showed up. I still have microscopic blood in my urine ( v small amounts ) which I am sure is either due to the stones or because I am suffering from extreme atrophy due to lack of oestrogen, so all of my skin is very very dry and I seem to be bleeding every where ! Do you think I should have a cystoscopy incase its something horrid or are my chances of it being cancer very small. I am 51 ft and healthy slim and do not smoke. please can you advise. I would rather not have a procedure unless it absolutely necessary. Thank you

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
In all probability you don't have anything in your bladder and you don't need cystoscopy.
However, you should undergo CT urogram and urine cytology to rule out anything major.
Once you have the reports, kindly get back to me and I will guide you further.
Take care
Sincerely
