Resolved question:
To,
Dr. Prathosh Gangadhar
My Thyroid
Got tested on 19th May, 2015. My Report is as below :-
Test Observed Value Reference Range
T3 2.30 2.1 – 4.4 pg/ml
T4 0.96 0.8 – 2.7 ng/dl
TSH 20.10 0.5 – 8.9 µIU/ml
Autoimmunity Test
Test Observed Value Reference Range
Microsomal (TPO ) Antibody Titre 548.86 < 5.61 IU/ml
I was taking Altroxin 100mcg in the morning and Altroxin 75mcg in the evening. I have stopped taking Altroxin in the evening from 22nd May, 2015 as was feeling sluggish. This way the excess formation of hormones will go down and I will feel better, which I am feeling within 3 days ( 26th May, 2015 )
How many days I should skip the evening dose and get tested again.
If the readings become normal then I should start with evening dose 25mcg or 50 mcg.
I am taking morning evening dose from last 10 -15 years. And if I take more than 100mcg I get my heart beating fast and feel very very uncomfortable.
Lipid Profile
Will this effect my lipid profile also.
My reading on date 14th March, 2015 were as under :-
Test Observed Value Reference Range
Total Cholesterol 154 mg/dl < 200
Triglycerides 141 mg/dl <150
HDL 24 mg/dl 40 - 60
LDL 102 mg/dl <100
VLDL 28.20 mg/dl <30
LDL / HDL Ratio 4.2
Cholesterol / HDL Ratio 6.4
Now, On 19th May, 2015 I found my report as below :-
Test Observed Value Reference Range
Triglycerides 272 mg/dl <150 mg/dl
HDL 30.00mg/dl <40 mg/dl
LDL 113 mg/dl
VLDL 54.40mg/dl <30 mg/dl
LDL / HDL Ratio 3.8
Cholesterol / HDL Ratio 6.6
Please advise this change is because of Thyroid Fluctuations as I am not taking any medicine for Cholesterol control.
Need your advice to wait for Thyroid to become normal and then decide to have medicines for to control Lipid Profile. Just to inform you that I had gone through Angiography during November, 2010.
My Testosterone readings have also been effected. The results are as below :-
On 7th May, 2015 Testosterone Level 3.54 ng/ml (Ref range - 2.41 – 8.27 )
On 15th May, 2015 Testosterone level 228.12 ng/dl ( Ref range – 241 – 827 )
Also have developed Allergy on Head, Face for which I am being treated by Dr. Rishi Parashar. Is this also related to Thyroid imbalance. Please advise.
Your kind opinion will help me to move further.
Best Wishes & Regards,

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
From your report, raised TSH, means you are not taking adequate dose of Eltroxin. It has to be taken once a day only, empty stomach in morning. Please take 200mcg daily and repeat TSH after two months.
Also, your triglycerides is very high indicating that you need to start exercising and follow a strict diet control. Since LDL is under control, I won't advise any medicines.
Feel free to discuss further,
Regards.
