Can CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENT lead to STROKE?

Resolved Question:

I had a chiropractic adjustment earlier today that involved my neck. I have had several similar adjustments over the past several weeks. However, this one was attending with some pain and tingling at the base of the neck - which lasted maybe 15-20 min. When I Googled "neck tingling after chiropractic adjustment" (or some such similar thing) I discovered an alarming article that disparaged chiropractic generally, suggested that neck adjustments are dangerous and can cause internal bleeding, and indicated that said internal bleeding can lead to strokes. This prompted me to probably have a panic attack. I now keep focusing on my neck and worrying that I am bleeding internally. Of course, the worrying has made me feel a bit light-headed. Although, when I take my mind of the worry, I do not seem to have any dizziness. I have no idea how rational this fear is, however. To put it differently, I do not know how realistic a danger I face. I am 36 years old, fit, active, no health problems (to my knowledge) apart from "seasonal" allergies. My main question is: What are the symptoms of internal neck bleeding? Should I be concerned? What tests (if any) can detect internal neck bleeding, were there any to detect?

Hello,
Thank you for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I have read your question with diligence.
First of all i want to assure you that there is no bleeding or pooling of blood in your spine at present.
If that was the case, then you were not able to type this email. There will be loss of muscle power or sensation in your limb & upper limb. Also in normal person blood clots within 1-2 minutes,so if there is any minimal amount of bleed then it would have been clotted. This is same phenomenon as we observe during bleeding from skin.In case of continuous bleeding there is loss of consciousness, low blood pressure & various other features.
The spinal cord is one of sensitive structure, minor compression at this place is reflected by abnormal sensation in limbs or loss of power.
I am also not in favor of chiropractic therapy of spine. This may lead to severe consequences.
I hope you will find all this helpful.
Feel free to discuss further,
Regards
