The risks of acquiring HIV infection is nullified once the condom is used properly. However, just to advise one thing : There can be minor cuts in your scrotal mucosa and infection can still spread even though you're wearing a condom. I am not sure how much risk that lad had of having AIDS, and moreover she bled. Even though you had a condom on, i will suggest you better get an HIV combo test done, which is a next generation investigation modality and is capable of detecting HIV in your bloodstream from as early as 15th day after exposure.
Even though the risk is fairly less, just to be on the safer side i would advise you to get the test done. Following HIV, symptoms can take a long time to appear. So your current infection seems more of an Upper Respiratory Tract Infection ( URTI ). So don't relate this infection with risk of HIV.
