Thank you for choosing DoctorSpring.com.
If the amount of blood lost was not much and if you do not have symptoms such as weakness, dizziness, fast heart rate, then your bout of bleeding shouldn't be of concern.
However, as this bleeding has occurred without any apparent cause, it is better that you get examined by a doctor to find the cause. So that if there is risk of future episodes, they can be prevented.

Thanks for your reply...
No, the amount of blood probably wasn't that much since I don't feel weak or any other symptoms you have listed. It was continuous for say 8 or so minutes. It may have continued beyond then but I had already applied cotton wool and turmeric powder so I cannot be sure.
I usually shave my genital area with a razor but I haven't done that for the past few days, and this happened today morning so it's not because of a cut.. and no pimples or anything. I checked some minutes ago and bleeding hasn't resumed. Just that this thing hasn't ever happened before and I cannot explain the cause so that's why I got uneasy.
I will visit a doctor for a checkup though. What kind of a doctor should I see? A GP? And any particular blood or other test I may have to do?
Thanks!
Hello.
The bleeding may not be significant or a cause for concern. Just to settle the cause and to be on the safer side, you can visit a GP and have the area examined.
You may not require any tests for now.
I hope this addresses your query.
Let me know if I can assist you any further.
Thank you.
