Hello, With reference to your query regarding whether you had a miscarriage or implantation. You had a five-year IUD removed in January about 5 months ago and your cycle is due in ten days. In the meantime, you are experiencing cramps associated with nausea and mild headache along with a backache as well, but you are bleeding at all. In your case there may be a biological error in implantation or development or hormonal imbalances and some are natural and unavoidable. Not every woman will experience the same type of vaginal discharge during a miscarriage. These discharges do not necessary indicate a miscarriage has taken place. Here your doctor or gynecologist will tell you whether you had a miscarriage or another circumstance caused the discharge. Not all miscarriages cause bleeding. Some back pain or abdomen may indicate that the women body is about to expel the fetus. Hence it is always better to contact the G.P. or a health professional or obstetrician to have a look at your status and can come to a conclusion. Thank you.
