Resolved question:
My 14 year old daughter has been diagnosed with acute tonsillitis and sinusitis. She has been prescribed Omeprazole 20 1 tablet 2 times a day before food for 5 days. Moxclav 625 1 tablet twice a day after food for 10 days. Solvin 1 tablet twice a day after food for 3 days and Zerodol-P 1 tablet twice a day after food for 2 days. She has just taken the third dose of all these medications and is feeling much better but now has a slight cough preventing her from sleeping. Is it okay to give her Piriton Cough Expectorant.

Hello,
Thank you for using Ask a Doctor Service from Doctor Spring.
I can understand your problem, and will try to help you the best possible.
Your daughter is getting correct combination of medication with correct doses and duration, she can continue same medication as she is getting relief also. You can add Syr. Piriton – CS if she is having dry cough.
Does she have any breathing difficulty? Or any noisy breathing/wheezing?
Hope this helps. Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.
Thank you.
