Hello,

Thank you for the consult :
Since you have chosen Oncology as the speciality for your consult, I assume that your concern is to know whether the "stuck up feeling in throat" is dangerous (cancerous) or not.

From your description of the problem, it does not appear serious or dangerous . If there was something dangerous, by this 2 years there would have been oth definite clinical signs. Moreover you are rather in a good health. Already an ENT Doctor has examined you. If there was something alarming  it would have been already picked up in clinical examination by the Doctor.

So there is nothing to worry. The dry cough is mostly due to the viral infection.

The feeling of something stuck up or a foreign body sensation actually could be few things. The possibilities are

1. Elongated styloid process ( a thin pencil like bone in the brain) also known as Eagles syndrome

2. Globus pharyngis (mostly due to acid reflux or ulcer problem)

3. Blocked (dysfunctional eustachian tube) .

The third one is highly possible in your case. Have steam inhalation twice daily. Try to blow air by closed mouth. This will open up the eustachian tubes. You should discuss these possiblities with your Doctor.

Hope this helps.
