Resolved question:
Hi I'm a 16 year old girl with a bump on the outer part of my vagina. I've never gotten one before and I'm freaking out I'm not sexually active & I did recieve the HPV vaccine. It looks like a pimple but I'm not sure it does contain some kind of pus or bacteria in it

Hello. Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com. I understand your concern and will do my best to help you. A bump which is pus filled is most likely to be folliculitis(bacterial infection of the hair follicle). This is quite common condition and there is no need to worry. It can be easily treated using an topical antibiotic cream. In order too confirm the diagnosis, I would like you to please upload a high resolution image of the bump. You do not have to worry about HPV as you have been vaccinated and HPV causes warts which will not be pus filled. I hope this settles your fear. I will be awaiting your reply. Take care.
