Resolved question:
Hi,
I'm a 34 years old patientold female. I have been experiencing hairloss for the past three years old patientbut no doctor was able to help me as they only subscribed hair vitamins without any blood or medical tests. Two years old patientago I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism which hairloss is one of it's symptoms so I thought that what was causing it and I have been taking Euthyrox 50 microgram ever since. My thyroid level is normal now but my hair still falls a lot and it got worse in the last few months and all what doctors recommend is hair vitamins which I don't think is the solution to my problem.
Please advise.

Hello
Thank you for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I can understand your concern.
Hairloss can be due to various causes. One of it can also be female pattern hair loss which is due to increased levels of androgens in the body. It's important to know the cause of your hair loss and only then can effective treatment be initiated.
Application of minoxidil lotion also aids in hair regrowth. However, it's advisable to consult a doctor and then start it. You can meanwhile take supplements of vitamin called biotin.
Please let me know if you have any queries.
Take care
Regards.
What kind of blood/ medical tests Should I do to find out what is causing my hairloss?
Hello.
Thank you for the follow up.
Hello
Thanks for your reply.
I would recommend tests to rule out pcos, like serum fsh, lh, tsh, dheas, dht , free testosterone, insulin, prolactin.
Thanks
