My husband and I are trying to have a baby and I am 3 days late on my period,so my OB/GYN prescribed me 10mg of Provera to be taken for 10 days. I took my first dose last night and today am bleeding. Did my period just arrive late and there is no longer a need to take the Provera or should I continue taking the 10 day prescription even though I appear to now be having my period? Also, if this is just my regular cycle will taking the one dose of Provera last night interfer or mess up this cycle. I am set to take Letrozole on days CD3-7, so I want to make sure this cycle isn't messed up. Thank you!

Your period just arrived late.
There is no longer a need to continue taking the Provera.
Taking just one dose of Provera last night does not mess up your cycle.
Before taking Letrozole on day 3, please insist on a pelvic ultrasound scan to know the status of the endometrium, it should have properly shed off before starting any ovulation induction.

I was prescribed Provera 10mg for 10days. But will taking it for just 5 days be enough to bring on my period? It turns out I was just spotting before and not having a full on period. I have now taken the Provera for 4 days and was wondering if I just do one more day will that be enough to induce my period. Thanks!

Well it is best to complete the course of 10 days as prescribed, to bring on proper shedding of the lining of the uterus.
That is better to have successful stimulation with Letrozole next time round.

Last question, I am now on day 6 of provera and my period has defintely come (heavy bleeding and cramping). Is this normal? Can I now stop the provera and should I count today as CD1? I just want to make sure I take the Letrozole on the right day. Thank you!
Since you have such irregular spotting and bleeding, get a transvaginal scan done tomorrow to confirm that this is your proper period.
IF this is so, you can stop the Provera, and consider this as day 1.
Dont take chances.
