Hello, Thank you for asking your query at DoctorSpring. The Hepatitis B antigen and Hepatitis B antibody tests, indicate replication of virus and therefore how infectious you are. In your case, its non-reactive for antigen but reactive for antibody. It means you have acquired the disease but not very infectious. The HBV DNA test or viral load test tells the amount of HBV DNA you have in blood test or how much of HBV virus is circulating in your blood. In your case, it means 591 UI/ML. According to the treatment regimen , if you are negative for Hepatitis B antigen but viral load is more than 2000 IU/ml, treatment would be mandatory. You are HBeAg negative and your Viral load is 591 UI/ML, therefore treatment may not be required.
