Swollen cheek bone, greenish mucus on cough. SINUS INFECTION?

Resolved question:
Why would my right cheek bone be swollen? I blew my nose this morning & there was greenish mucus. Is that a sinus infection? I think it may be a chronic sinus infection. I say that because my cheek bone seems to swollen a lot of the time. There has been a little ache/pain.
I had a worse issue last year or so with a really bad painful sinus infection to where I went to the dentist thinking it was a tooth infection.
I'm taking singular for allergies. Also, will Flonase help clear this mess up?

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
Yes, a swelling in the cheek bone with greenish mucus is indicative of a sinus infection- chronic sinusitis. You need to get a CT PNS done to rule out mucocele or retention cyst in the maxillary sinus. It can't be treated medically, presents with a swelling, and needs surgical intervention.
Flomase will hlp, however, a mucocele won't resolve with only Flomase.
So please get a CT PNS and get back to me, I will advise you further,

What is a CT PNS?

I am sorry I did not write the expansion in the first place itself.
It is CT SCAN of the para nasal sinuses.
If you can't get the scan done now, I will advise you a course of Cap. Augmentin 625 mg twice daily for 7 days. It is a combination of Amoxicillin + Clavulanic Acid ) and works well in sinus infections.
Regards.
