Resolved question:
Dear doctor,
I am suffering from pancreatitis and it attacked me the second time. Now I feel myself lost and don’t wish to get hospitalized for long. I cant even afford that. It is killing to me to stay in hospital on medicines alone and fasting. Is hospitalization a must?

Sorry to hear about your illness. I think that this is a second attack of pancreas inflammation. But it is better to get evaluated by a doctor itself. There can be some other causes which can mimic pancreatitis. Some of such disorders are peptic ulcer and so. If you got accurately diagnosed with pancreatitis, your doctor should carefully manage your condition including pain management, fluid intake and use of enzyme replacement and needed supplements. Moreover it is very important to rule out pseudo cyst and such complications. For you, a hospital stay is well advocated. Wish you all the best.
