Streaks of blood on defecation. What could this be due to?

Resolved question:

Hi I had my son 8 weeks ago I stopped breast-feeding when he was 3 weeks and shortly after that my husband and me started having intercourse. As of yesterday I had lower left side abdominal pain that even hurt when I walked but went away quick after that I ve had clear sticky discharge and I had two streaks of blood when I wiped today after using the bathroom but only once. What is going on? When my period coming back?

Hello .I can understand your concern and will answer your queries the best possible. Your symptoms are probably due to a chronic anal fissure or hemorrhoids. It usually presents with blood in the rectum and pain during defecation. The chronic fissure is a linear tear in the lower anal canal while hemorrhoids is a condition where there is dilatation of blood vessel. There are 4 types of hemorrhoids:

a)First-degree hemorrhoids: piles within that may bleed but does not come out.

b)Second degree hemorrhoids: piles that prolapse during defecation, but returns back spontaneously.

c)Third degree hemorrhoids: Piles prolapsed during defecation, can be replaced back only by manual help.

d)Four-degree hemorrhoids: Piles that are permanently prolapsed.

I would suggest you to get a complete blood test and stool routine and get an endoscopy done. You can use painkiller like ibuprofen twice a day after food for a week and consume a high fiber diet, use a local anesthetic cream like lignocaine 2% for application after passing stools. Try this for 3-4 days, and then consult your surgeon. Thank you.
