Hello, I understand your concern. The symptoms that you have described are suggestive of a speech disorder. Speech disorder can be characterized by the following: a) Interruption in the flow or rhythm of speech. b) Trouble forming sounds. c) Difficulties with the pitch, volume or quality of the voice. d) Troubling using some speech sounds. This could be due to brain injury as in your son s case. During language disorders, it may present as improper use of words and their meanings, inability to express ideas, inappropriate grammatical patterns, reduced vocabulary and inability to follow directions. In regard to your question, the epilepsy that your son suffered and the language and speech disorder has to be thoroughly investigated. There are also speech and language disorders specialist who may be able to assess your child and help him with his condition. The development of the child may also be slow which may also contributed for it. You can consult a pediatrician too. Hope this helps. Thank you.
