Resolved question:
Hi I flew from Australia to Europe 36 hours ago and after landing I have developed a very sore foot. It is painful to put weight on but with walking frees up to feel reasonable over time. Going to bed or sitting for extended periods brings the pain back.
The pain is worst behind my small to 4th toes and the pain is focussed in the middle top of my foot.
I'm still rehydrating from the flight but otherwise have no idea what could be causing it. It feels a bit like a cramp but no pulsing and its pattern doesn't match a cramp.
There is no pain when it's resting
It's never happened before any ideas would be appreciated

Hello,
Thank you for your medical query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
It definitely does seem like it has been triggered by the long flight, as immobilisation in the flight does cause the muscles to be sore.
It will gradually get better, but I will advise you to use Advil or Myospas tablet for quicker relief.
You can get back to me if the pain worsens, however it should be fine in 24 hours.
Hope this was helpful,
Feel free to discuss further.
