Resolved question:
I had protected sex (condom) with a woman and the area where the condom was rubbing at the base of my penis got very irritated to the point where I had to stop intercourse. I'd recently shaved it with a dull razor and it was already irritated. Now, 4 days later the area is still sore and seems to be infected. There are small tender sores, the area is warm and tender to the touch and the groin lymph gland on the affected side is swollen.
I don't have a fever and have treated with beta dine and kept moist with neosporin. I believe the gland to be a little less swollen but not normal yet either.
Does it sound like an STD or a bacterial infection, or both? I do have photos.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring. I can understand your concern.
You seem to have got bacterial infection on pre-existing irritation due to the condom.
I would first recommend that you treat it with application of mupirocin cream and you need to take a short course of oral antibiotics like azithromycin.
This will resolve the infection and also resolve the enlarged lymph nodes.
Please let me know if you have any queries.
Take care
