Resolved question:
During the year check up, the doctor found a small lump in my breast, near the nipple area, i felt it too, it's a pea size (maybe a little bigger?), kind hard and i do not think it's moving around. (personally i think it stick on the bone?) I have a trip next week abroad for a month, so book the mammo already for 12/1, but i am very worried now. I had a mammo done two years ago and was clean.
I do not have any history of these type of issue. I am 42 right now.
the lump feel a little pain when touch/push it. skin around it has not change color or feel. I usually has some discharge (not wet, just a little dry one found on top of the nipple usually)

Hello
Thank you for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
As per your description, a lump is palpable beneath the nipple. A near peaside lump cannot get fixed to the bone. As it is not freely mobile, it is better to get an FNAC ( Fine Needle aspiration Cytology ) of the swelling.
FNAC will give a clue whether swelling is benign or malignant. If it is inconclusive, the lump should be removed completely and send for histopathological examination. Exact diagnosis will be known.
This is the procedure I am following since 15yrs.
Mammography will give a clue, but it cannot confirm.
Confirmation of the disease is by histopathological examination only.
Discharge from the nipple can be normal. If the secretion is bloody, malignancy has to be suspected.
Your lump looks like benign. But,please get investigated.
Hope I answered your query.
If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
Thank you for your answer.
The lump is next to the nipple, I am attaching pic here, two of them is when lying down, does the nipple look inverted? The part little pink skin is where the lump is. I touched it a little more often recently so made the skin a little pink. Its left bottom part of the right nipple.
actually it is a little hard to find, need to lie down or arch back to feel it. When go through finger around the nipple just feel this part under bone has a bump, I understand now it cann't be stick to the bone but that's feels like. Also I really not sure now if there is pain or not to touch it, as you know if you touch a place or push it it always feel disconfort.
I will get the mammo on dec 1 and my dr ask me to schedule him for further (might be needle) investigation after that.
Do you think I will be okay till I get back us? It will be about a month trip. I just do not want the trip cause delay, and rise the danger, etc.
Please advise, thank you.
Hello,
I saw the pics.
Nipple is not inverted. In inversion, it will go inside.
You can go for the trip.It will not worsen in a month.
Nothing to worry.
You can go for investigations after the trip.
Once your trip is done, and you get the investigations, you can revert back to me.
And i will help you proceed with the management accordingly.
Kind Regards.
Dear Sir,
I actually later got the incision biopsy and unfortunatly it turns our i have stage 0-1 cancer. It is 1, Ductal Carcinoma in Situ, intermediate grade, measure 1.6cm, with positive resection margins, 2, mutiple foci of microinvasive carcinoma, ranging in size from 0.15mm to 0.3mm. Also my ER test is positive 99% 3 +, Pr: Positive, 100% 3+, Her-2: negtive 0+, Ki-67: Low 5%
The doctor will need another surgery and this time which the size about golf ball. I do not think i have any other choice but i was wondered, after the surgery (the place is right next to nippple, so the surgeon told me he will save the nipple and do a bat wing cut), so the nipple will not drop, but will the breast change shape alot (it is about 4 o'clock to the right nipple)? I know it will be dented, but will it be a lot? or over the time it might get back a little?
also the doctor said i will have 6 weeks of radiation for the breast and later also should take hormone daily. I checked seems hormone will have some side effects, some people said it will make you aging faster and look older and dry the sex drive. so does the hormone is a must thing? or i can choose not to take?
I am so sorry to ask this, i understand to cure the cancer i have to do something, but i am also a woman only 40, so i do also care about what my body will look like afterwards. I just need a headsup so i know my option and what i have to look for.
Thank you.
