Should condoms be used for over a long period of time?

Resolved question:

Dear Doctor, I am 27 male and I have some tiny white spots on my penis under the helmet and I have them before also. I am in a sexual relation with my girlfriend for about one year and we both trust and love each other a lot. We both are mature responsible persons and know the importance of practicing safe sex. To avoid any pregnancy or stds risk I had been using condoms all the while. Though she has always been questioning about these white spots but I feel they are just normal and common thing among men. About some three month before she started to use the contraceptive pills, she did to reduce the period pain and also to add extra protection. Now I want to know whether we should use condoms any more or not. We both are loyal to each other and didn’t have sex with anybody else.  But she was little worried about these white spots and if not they are some kind of infection. Please suggest me what to do and whether to use condoms or not.

Thank you for putting up your question with us. We appreciate your move.  I know your girlfriend is very concerned and it is good to clarify doubts in time. Since you said and its somehow true that few men have a king of small white blobs on or under their penis. These have nothing to do with any kind of infections and more importantly, you have been using condoms so there isn’t a stds risk too. This implies that you are perfectly normal and you don’t risk transferring any kind of infection to your girlfriend. As far as use of condoms is concerned , if she is taking pills and you both are very much loyal to each other then there doesn’t seem any harm in discontinuing their use. I wish you both a happy and safe life.
