Resolved question:
I'm a 20 year old male and have just started experiencing this very short prickling feeling in my hands and feet for 2 days now. I'm slightly worried due to my family history of my mother having been diagnosed with MS several years ago. These are he only symtpoms I currently have.

Hi,
Thank you for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com.
Your symptoms are suggestive of small fiber neuropathy. This is due to involvement of nerves in the skin. The common underlying causes to be excluded are vitamin B12 and D deficiency, diabetes and thyroid problems. These can be detected in blood tests.
There is no need to worry, as these are not related to multiple sclerosis.
I hope it helps. Please get back if you have any further queries.
Best wishes,

Also could it still be diabetes I'm relatively fit except I'm slightly under weight but eat well.
Thank you for getting back.
Diabetes is less likely in your case, still, we should do the glucose tolerance test (GTT) to exclude the condition.
