Scheduled CAESAREAN for BREECH pregnancy. Is normal delivery possible?

Resolved question:
I am 36 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I have normal fluid levels and my baby looks to be a normal size (5lbs) and is healthy. I have had a very healthy and, I am told, easy pregnancy. At 30 weeks my baby turned from head down to breech. He is still frank breech now and we have been given the option of trying a version or scheduling a caesarean section. I, of course, would love to have a natural birth, but want what is best for the baby. I need advice in deciding on whether or not I should be trying a version. My doctor has given us information, but we re still undecided and need to decide. Any information you can give me would help. My big concern is what would benefit the baby the most.

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
Version is definitely something you can try in expert hands.
It is a chance to try and correct the breech position.
Success rates in good hands are well over the range of 50 % and more.
So it is worth giving it a try.
THe risks are minimal and further minimized in expert hands.
All said and done, Version should be tried in your case if it has been an uncomplicated pregnancy so far.
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further.
Regards.
