Resolved question:
I'm in a relationship and I'm pushing her away because since we have moved in together I've become controlling and possessive and jealous.
I work out of town for weeks at a time so I become very jealous even though she has done nothing wrong, doesn't talk to guys or go out partying she is perfect.
I buy her tons of gifts probably as a way to control her and when we fight I threaten to leave and cancel our lease because I have more money than her, knowing that she won't be able to afford the place alone.
I have bad anxiety and take Celexa 10mg daily for panic attacks. They have improved over the past few months.
I've been cheated on before in a few relationships. So that must be an underlying problem.
Looking for help with the controlling, possessive and jealous feelings I keep having.

Hello,
Thanks for your consult at DoctorSpring.com. I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
You have mentioned that you have lost of the previous relationship cause of cheating and that has made you all the more cautious. Basically your repetitive thoughts harboring on the sense of insecurity is what is causing you to behave this way. No wonder that this is going to strain your relationship.
This cannot be cured by taking any drugs. Basically your thoughts need to be modified and that will require cognitive behavioral therapy. This therapy is taken by either a psychologist or a psychiatrist in which the therapist identifies impaired cognitions (Thoughts) and try to correct them. They are 15-20 min weekly session and there should be around 8-10 sessions to help you with your problems. You need to understand the actual possibility of happening of such a event is very less and the same positive thoughts will be repeatedly exercised.
Inspite of this if the problem persists then you will require treatment with fluoxetine or fluovoxamine or clomipramine etc. This drugs help in reducing the unwanted repetitive thoughts.
Hope this helps with your concerns, would be glad to answer any follow-ups.
Kind regards

last and final question for you. when i workout at the gym and do say a few squat exercises i get pretty lighted headed and out of breath. I'm in pretty good shape. I've cut out all caffeine from my diet and preworkout supplements but nothing has changed. wondering if there is a specific vitamin or mineral deffincy that could be causing this or if its due to my anxiety as much of my anxiety is when I'm exercising. thanks again for your help
Hello
Such problems can occur due to low blood pressure of due to low hemoglobin (anemia).
You may get your blood pressure examined and also get a complete blood count done to identify the low hemoglobin.
