Resolved question:
I have been experiencing a headache for approximately 24 hours as of now. I got the headache when I orgasmed while masturbating. I don't know what to do, the headache comes and goes and decreases and increases in intensity. I took Ibuprofen but it did nothing. Most online info says not to worry about it but they also say it could be something more serious and I don't know what to do.

4. No
5. I had a weird episode where I just freaked out and my heart rate went up a lot, but it might have been due to the fact that I was reading online about how this headache might be indicative of other more serious issues and I just became extremely anxious that I could die.
Hello,
You can relax. Your headache appears to be sexual headache (post coital / orgasmic). However if the headache persists for more than 48 hours you should get medical help. Even before that if there is no sign of subsiding and/or if there are new symptoms.
You do not have any danger signs as of now, which is a very good sign. You can continue taking Ibuprofen 400mg .Take rest in a dark quiet room. Avoid screen - TV , computer. Again get medical help if symptoms are persisting or worsening.
Thank you
Hope this helps

Alright, thank you. So if it lasts for more than 48 hours, do I go to the hospital? Why did I even get the headache in the first place? and lastly, if it lasts longer than 48 hours and I don't go to a hospital, could I die?
No, you may not die ! But any serious causes of headaches need to be ruled out (like Sub arachnoid haemorrhage). If the headache is showing no signs of resolution I would recommend you not to delay any further. I strongly recommend a ER/ hospital visit.
It is difficult to say what is causing this headache - The patho physiological mechanism beyond is not well known and studied. This headache is classified as "Primary Headache related to sexual activity and exertion" . This seldom persist beyond few hours. That 's why recommend further evaluation . You may require a CT scan of the head and neurological examination.
