Resolved question:
I went to the doctor for pelvic pain - mostly on the left side. I had also had unusual throbbing and ovarian pain the week before. A urine pregnancy test after 5 weeks since last intercourse was negative. Negative for STDs. I did have a Vaginal Bacterial Infection and they gave me medicine for that.
However, several days later, the pain has migrated upwards. It is moving around the the entire left abdomen and pelvic region.
Sometimes it feels like burning. I am also very gassy. And have some nausea.
What are the most likely causes?

From the symptoms you have mentioned you are probably having urinary tract infection (with or without a PID- Pelvic inflammatory disease) . You have also mentioned that you had vaginal bacterial infection which could have spread to the urethra from there it could have ascended to bladder, ureters and kidney. This must be the reason for your pelvic pain. This is most common among sexually active women. E. Coli is the most common organism and staphylococcus and gut organisms also cause cystitis.
Recurrent rate of UTI is high among women. So you should completely get it treated. Antibiotics like norfloxacin, nitrofurantoin twice daily for a week can help you. But as you have already had medicines for your vaginal bacterial infection, I suggest you to seek your GPs help to get your urine sample analyzed and for urine culture and sensitivity. By doing urine culture and sensitivity, you can find which antibiotic drug is sensitive and have your antibiotic accordingly.
Antibiotic therapy is the mainstay.
Drink plenty of water.
