Resolved question:
Hi,
I want to consult a dermatologist. I used to have a smooth face before trying Anti Aging cream. One of my friends introduce me the Hydroface AM/PM cream, during my first week of use I notice the result is good having a fresh and younger looking skin. But after a month I used other creams (Ponds Anti Aging Cream) for my evening cream and Hydroface for my morning cream because I am running out of Hydroface stock. Until I used only Ponds for my daily cream but after a week, I notice patches, pimples and chicken skin like in my face. What medications or home remedies should I take to get my skin tone back? Is it safe to use Hydroface again? I believe this is chemical reaction from Ponds because the rashes came out during the time I am using it or is it also a reaction from the Hydroface? Please help me with this. Thank you.

Here are some pictures. They are not visible on the camera but if you will take a closer look at it, you will notice the redness on my face. Hope this helps. Thank you.
Hi,
Thanks for sending the pics.
This redness and small eruptions over face are induced by cosmetics only. In such cases I usually prescribe my patients tab vitamin c 500 mg twice daily along with application of mild steroid cream like fluticasone or hydrocortisone cream mixed in calamine lotion to be applied twice daily. Also do ice cold water compresses over face. Lesions usually clear in a week. Do not use any cosmetic over face till lesions are gone. It is always better to start medicines after consulting a dermatologist nearby.
Hope this helped.
Take care
Hi Dr Pathak,
Thank you for your reply.
How long should I take Vit C? If this redness are lesions cause by cosmetics, can I continue using Hydroface after the lesions disappear? Have you heard of this product, would you recommend this as safe to use?
Hi,
I usually prescribe vitamin C for a period of two weeks to a month. Once the lesions are gone, you may continue hydroface. I was not aware about the product but I checked it on internet and it seems to contain good antiageing ingredients. You may also talk to your dermatologist to prescribe antiageing products as per your skin type. In my patients I usually prescribe vitamin c serum, hyaluronic acid cream and a good sunscreen to prevent skin ageing.
Hope this helped.
Take care.
