Hello doctor. I found this lesion in my right lower leg. It's been there a long time. It's painless, no symptoms of any sort. There's another one just like it right below which I once applied a wart medicine over thinking it was a wart which changed colour within a week of application but has otherwise remained the same. Any ideas as to what they may be ?

I would like to ask you a few queries. Is it fluid filled? Has it been increasing in size?
Has there been any itching over it?
Did it develop gradually?
This would help me in arriving at a diagnosis.

Hi there doctor. Just to answer your question, I guess it developed very gradually. One day it just appeared there. And then the other one below it. I guess it's been there a long time but I hardly noticed it or paid any particular attention to it. I have not had any itching or pain or any kind of symptom with it. It's not filled with fluid. It has increased in size over the couple of years it's been there but not massively. It just feels like rubbery skin to the touch. Like there's rubber trapped underneath. It's firm to the touch but with a bit of a give to it. It doesn't hurt when I squeeze it. It doesn't move back and forth either. It's always in the same place. When I shine a light at it it looks like normal raised skin. Maybe with a bit of a faint browner or yellow border and a white pearly center that allows the light to shine through it. When I move the light away it looks more on the pink side.

It seems to be a nodular tumour. Tumours can be benign or malignant. This one seems to be a benign tumour of the skin. However it's not easy to conform a diagnosis by just looking at a picture. It needs to be palpated and examined thoroughly. Often a biopsy may be required. I would recommend that you visit your dermatologist for the same.
It seems to be a dermatofibroma. The treatment for it would be excision by your dermatologist.
