Pain in thigh, friction while walking after injury.

Resolved question:
Hi, my name is Hiral and I am a 31 yr old Male 6ft 1 200lbs guy. I used to be active until this injury. I'm having an issue with both legs. Im feel pain on the upper area of the knee, basically lowest area of the quadraceps.. above the knee and I also have pain on both sides of my inner lower quadraceps, even at rest. I used to run a lot, and now I can't even sit without pain.

I have tried NSAID's like Naproxen therapy, Knee sleeves, Pain relieving Rubbing creams and they all only offer temporary relief. I've tried a variety of stretching and it doesn't seem to help. At the moment while i'm sitting I still feel pain.

I uploaded a picture of where I feel the most pain on both sides. I feel popping and some friction while walking in my knee joint as well.. Please help Doctor !

Hello Hiral,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I have read your query with diligence.I am considering following point in diagnosing your problem. You are an adult person who is active runner, there is pain at inner aspect of knee which is present all time, there is popping sensations at knee.
Looking at all details it looks that there is stretching of medial collateral ligament of knee with associated changes of cartilage at inner surface of knee cap or patella bone.
You may have relief with following-
-You should have a MRI of knee .This will help in diagnosing any other problem.
-Depending on MRI reports probably it looks that you should avoid heavy activities for few weeks. If there is some avulsion injuries of ligament then you have to keep your limb in long knee brace.
-You should do warm fomentation with warm water over knee.
-Take a good analgesic.I used to advice a combination of tramadol with paracetamol in such cases.
-Take a joint supplement like glucosamine & chondroitin sulfate.
Hope this all will help you.
Feel free to discuss further,
With best wishes.
