Resolved question:
I broke my right febilua last Tuesday. I was placed in a boot, given crutches and referred to orthopedic dr, who I saw today who confirmed the break. I go back to see him in 3 weeks. However after several days of walking on crutches I developed pain in my left hip. I admit to probably not using the crutches correctly as I care for my 90 yr old mother and found that just using one crutch easier to get around. Could the mid use of the crutches be the cause if my hip pain? I've never broken a bone before nor have I ever experienced hip pain. I am a 55 ur old female in good health with the exception of afib. I am on blood thinners

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern
I also apologise for the exceptional delay in my reply.
If you able to bear weight on both hips, including the hip which is having pain then pain may be due to increase weight on unaffected limb or due to increase strain.
If you start using crutches in right way then this pain will go away in few days.
Meanwhile you may take a good analgesic like Advil 400 mg twice a day, for relief of pain.Hope this will help you.
Feel free to ask further queries,
Regards.
With best wishes.
