Hello,
It is bit unusual for a Tonsillectomy pain to be this prolonged. Take the pain medication in recommended dose. If allowed by your Doctor you can take cold food items like Ice cream which might give a temporary relief. Consider giving your Doctor a call as this amount pain after 4 days in bit unusual.

Okay, In that case your Doctor would have give your antibiotics. Take them. You should start getting relief in couple of days. If the pain and swallowing difficulty is too much your Doctor will suggest you Antibiotic injections.
