Hello,
Thank you for yoour query at DoctorSpring.com
I have read your question with diligence.
It looks from your details that your child has moderate degree of scoliosis and he is in growing age.At this age only braces will be very helpful because with surgery there are. Han es of recurrence of symptoms as she grows. In this age yoga and some physiotherapy is also helpful.
Her orthotic should be made according to her requirements ,for this you should consult to a good prosthetic and orthotic. Expert.
Hope this will help you.
Thanks for your response. I was after the potential bracing options, so that it is least intrusive but also the most effective. What kind of braces would you recommend and why? Can she have a separate daytime (less intrusive) and nighttime brace? Will the brace cause muscular atrophy?
Hello,
For her most probably TLSO Brace will be used.
It should be used for at lest 20 hours a day. This will not lead to atrophy of muscles,The type of brace will be made by orthotic expert which suits her body.
