Resolved question:
For three weeks now, off and on when walking I feel off balance - almost like I'm being pulled to the right, but I walk straight. I've noticed it's worse in the supermarket or after I move my head around a lot - for instance the other day I was helping my son look for his shoes and I was moving my head around looking for them and when I stood up straight I felt a little off balance. I had an MRI of my brain six months ago but I'm afraid this is a brain tumor or cancer. I've seen my GP and at first she thought it might be a sinus infection so she gave me a sulfa drug. She also checked my ears with her instrument and said there's no infection. I went back after finishing the sulfa drug and she said she thinks it's anxiety, and started me on 10mg of Prozac. I've been on it for 6 days and I'm still dizzy - like I'm being pulled to the right when walking. I'm fine when sitting, lying down, driving in the car, and it doesn't happen ALL the time when walking. It happens off and on. But I literally walk straight for the most part, it just feels like I'm being pulled. Is this a brain tumor/cancer?

Dear sir
Thankyou for posting your query on DoctorSpring.com
You are suffering from hematospermia. The common causes are high blood pressure or some hemangioma in the penis. However, in majority of patients no cause can be ascertained.
You should get your blood pressure checked and start yourself on antihypertensives even if your blood pressure is marginally on the higher side. During arousal the blood pressure is little higher than in normal times and this may be enough for the blood vessels to rupture and cause blood and blood clots to appear.
If your blood pressure comes normal on repeated measurements then you should undergo cystoscopy (taking camera into the penis and bladder).
I hope this helps, feel free to discuss further
Hi doctor, thanks very much for this but I have already had numerous cystoscopys with no result. I have had my bladder checked as well as my prostate. I've also had biocies taken from inside my bladder and also my prostate which showed no result. I've also had my blood pressure checked and that didn't show any unusual signs.
Is there anything else I could suggest to my doctor? If I don't get any progress with my current doctor, is there any way of getting some kind of other doctor to analyse me even if that involved paying? I'm currently being consulted by the NHS and I've had various doctors look at me and they've all performed the same procedures with no result.
Why would the issue also only appear when I'm with a girl, rather than when masturbating?
Thanks a lot.
There is nothing more that can be done to ascertain the possible cause of your hematospermia. I am still perplexed that it happens only when you are with girl.
However, you should give a trial with C. Flomax 0.4 mg once in the night for 6 weeks and see how you do. This might be helpful and you can talk to your doctor about it.
Feel free to discuss further,
Sincerely

Hi Dr, thanks again. I have already been prescribed medicaation for an enlarge prostate which didn't appear to help. Could the synmptoms be related to a high blood pressure? If so, is there any ways of lowering my blood pressure to see if it calms the symtoms? Less sugar, less bread etc?
Dear sir
You can certainly give a trial of antihypertensives. They shall not harm you in any way. You can have t. Atenolol 25 mg once daily under care of your doctor for 6 weeks. You should not be asthmatic to take atenolol.
Salt restricted diet can help in lowering blood pressure.
Take care.
Sincerely
Rajiv Goel
