Resolved question:
Hey, i had a mole on my foreskin, and made a stupid mistake by trying apple cider vinegar to remove it, as a result my skin burned a bit, althought the mole got removed. The skin has not healed fully in a couple of months. What could this be? The damaged skin is now smooth, and looks a bit reddish.

Hello.
Thanks for posting your query on DoctorSpring.com.
I can understand your concern.
The foreskin, as you correctly said has not healed completely. Alhough I cannot appreciate it clearly in the picture, there could be some amount of scarring. It would be best to let your dermatologist examine it and give his opinion.
Meanwhile you can take Vitamin C supplements orally which aid in wound healing. Also, it would be best to rule out diabetes because there is delayed wound healing.
You can apply an antibiotic cream like Mupirocin to take care of any inflammation that might be causing delayed wound healing.
Please let me know if you have any queries.
Take care.
Hey, is there a chance of it being a sign of cancer?
Hello,
The scarred tissue is quite big and it needs a considerable amount of time to heal.
The good thing is it's not infected and i also asked you to apply Mupirocin to prevent infections.
It is not cancer. Don't worry about that.
If it has been healing slowly, then there is nothing else to worry about.
Can you send a recent picture of how it looks now?
Regards.
Hey, heres a new picture. It seems like it has not healed at all. Last week I got antiobiotics for my bronchitis what I am having now, could bronchitis possibly affect the healing speed? How long do you think the healing will take? Are there other ways than vitamin c pills to speed up the healing? Is it sure that its not infected? Thanks alot.
Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
As I mentioned to you there seems to be scarring, that means there is loss of tissue. That is the reason it is not healing. I had recommended you visit a dermatologist and let him examine it and rule out any underlying condition that is preventing it from healing. Also diabetes needs to be ruled out.
I would still recommend the same. I can only see the picture but it needs to be examined in order to come to a conclusion as to why is not healing.
Take care
Hello again, a rash has formed in my groin area, its red and it itches a bit. I also have some pain in my testicles regularly. Could these be linked to the unhealed wound? Are these signs of a bacterial infection? How should the rash be treated? Thanks
