Resolved question:
So I am 17 years female and I have never had sex. My boyfriend and I are waiting until marriage. But I have had pain and itching around the vaginal hole. And recently I discovered a large lump inside my vagina. It is on the posterior side and feels as hard as a bone. And it is inside my vagina. It makes it hard to put my finger as well. It never hurts to urinate. It also started right after my period. Another abnormal thing was I had so much pain during my menstrual cycle that I was crying and could not walk. It was a scale of 1-10. What do you think it is?

Hello, With reference to your query, regarding feeling of a lump in the vagina. It is on the posterior side, does not hurt while urinating, and started right from your period. Since lot of pain is seen during the menstrual cycle and could not walk, never had sex. Lumps in the vagina on the external side begin as a result from a blocked hair follicle, yeast infection or cyst. Usually gets cleaned within seven days. If the lump is inflamed, smaller and red then the gynecologist should investigate you further. They do a physical examination and a Pap smear to rule out any malignancy, or it could be a wart or a bartholin cyst or Gartner duct cyst or a Sebaceous Cyst. Hence it is better to get examined by your GP first and could be referred you the Gynecologist. There is no need to worry at this moment unless and until you find out what exactly the problem causing this uneasiness. Hope this helps. Thank you.
