Dear Doctor,
My mom is from China and is 59 years old. She got two lipoma around 1cm in her legs.
She is intended to do surgery to get rid of it.
I am wondering whether there is any medicine that can help to prevent the lipoma from growing.
I have done some search online, and I found the following medicines are said to be effective to treat lipoma:
1. Baidyanath Kanchanar Guggulu
2. Baidyanath Triphala Guggulu
3. Hyland's - Calc. Fluor
I am wondering whether they are really useful or not. Can you please give some advice?

I assume that the diagnosis of lipoma is made by a Doctor by a clinical examination. ( i mean a trusted diagnosis ).
Unfortunately there are no medications which can cure or even decrease the size of a lipoma.
I have researched the medication you have mentioned. Sorry none of them will work. Only option is a surgical removal. However please a lipoma is not a dangerous swelling. She can also opt it to leave it alone.

Hello,
Yes it seems these medications are safe to try as most components are herbal. But I would not recommend a usage for prolonged duration. If there is no change in a week or two it is better to discontinue the medications.
