Resolved question:
I had intercourse with my fiancé last night, and tonight I have had some light spotting, is that anything to worry about? And can the spotting be indicative of conception? My cycle is irregular with me having PCOS and so I am unsure of when my ovulation would have been.

Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
NO, the spotting would not be generally indicative of conception.
With PCOS, often there is erratic spotting and bleeding.
When was your last period, and how many days cycle do you have ?
If post coital bleeding / spotting recurs, you should have an internal exam, Pap smear and an ultrasound scan.
All the best.
Please feel free to discuss further.
Since I had relatins with my fiance on the 9th of August and here is August 12th, it looks like I started my cylce. I have been having low back aches for several days but not hardly any abdominal cramping, just very little, as if my cycle was about to start. Well, can a pregnancy still happen at this point? I don't think it can. I know that it happens when a woman ovualtes. But as far as it looks it is my visitor I am having now. My cycles are irregular and so that is why I ask.
Thanks
Can you tell me when was your last period, and how many days cycle do you have ?
My last cycle was July 15th through July 20. They are irregular , partly cause I smoke & the PCOS. They usually last about 5 days. I have it now
Okay, so since it is your period, I guess there is no issue now, right ?
I had my cycle from the 11th to the 15 of this month, I also had bad low back pain. No abdominal cramping or anything else, just the low back pain, in which has bothered me from about 1 week up til the start of my cycle. I thought it had stopped last night but this morning I found darker a small amount of darker blood. Why would that happen? Why would I have low back pain and no abdominal cramping? I went tot the doctor twice this last week with the low back pain. My low back does get stiff on me at times and movement can be somewhat limited. I dont know what that stiffness is about but the pain I figured was from my cycle. Any ideas?
Many women have low back pain in the time that leads up to their cycle or during their period.
SO do not worry about it.
Some cramp, some have low back pain, some have pain in the calves - it differs from person to person.
Just get your calcium and vitamin D levels tested, as long as those are okay, you should not worry.
ALso, a scan to rule out endometriosis.
Take care.
