Hello. Thanks for posting your query on DoctorSpring.com. This does look like scabies. It would be best to apply permethrin 5 % cream once only from neck to toe and leave it overnight. Wash it off in the morning. All family members need to be treated simultaneously. In addition all linens, other clothes, beddings etc should all be disinfected by washing in hot water and drying them out in the sun. You will need a prescription for the cream. Please let me know if you have any other queries. Take care.
There need to be similar lesions elsewhere on the body like between finger web spaces, wrists, inner side of forearms, arms, legs, thighs, under arms, nipples, aerola, umbilicus, genitals, buttocks.
There is also a history of itching at night in scabies.
Is it safe to put permethrin on glans and inner foreskin?
thanx
Hello.
Thanks for your reply.
You can apply permethrin on those areas but in a very less quantity (just a thin layer) and please do not rub it in.
Thanks.
