Is SOFT TISSUE RHEUMATISM due to tablet PRODEP?

Resolved question:
I am 38 year old house wife and have been diagnosed with recurring depression and also soft tissue rheumatism around 4 years back. I have been on Asprito 5 and Prodep 20 for almost 4 years. I have also been prescribed Neugaba 75 , but the same was discontinued after i started to gain weight.

Around 3 months back i have requested my psychiatrist consultant to see if i can do away with medicines as i have been taking it for quite long now and he has changed Asprito 5 with Eliwel 10.

Around a month back i have encountered again with depression alongwith severe Headache, and accordingly the medicines have been revised as under (Stopped Prodep 20) :

Topomac 50 (Twice)
Sibelium(Bedtime)
Veinz XR 37.5 (Twice)
Eliwel 10 Bedtime
Deanxit (Morning)

For last 10 days i have developed severe pain in my back, thighs, calf and legs as it was there 4 years back (Soft tissue rhematism) . Is it due to stopage of Prodep 20 as my family physician said that Prdep 20 also help in soft tissue rheumatism ? Can i restart it alongwith Veiz XR 37.5 ? Or what other medicine can i take for severe pain? please suggest.

Hello. Thanks for using DoctorSpring.com for posting your query. I have gone through your questions in detail and I can understand what you are going through. The best step would have been that as soon as you developed symptoms on withdrawing Asprito and replacing with Eliwel, it would have been wise to get you back to Asprito. You seem to be having a bipolar depression and the major role is of antipsychotics like Asprito and mood stabilizers like Valproates or Topiramates(Topamax). Regarding pain, Venlafaxine(Veniz XR) is a better choice to control chronic pains than Fluoxetine (Prodep). If Venlafaxine does not suit you, then you can even try Desvenlafaxine or Duloxetine etc.
However, all of this is textual. The best plan would be to go back on Fluoxetine(Prodep) and Aripiprazole(Asprito) on which you were stable and see if things still work. If not, then other options can be tried.
Hope this helps. Feel free to ask queries.
Kind regards, Dr. Srikanth Reddy MD.
