Hello. Thank you for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
It is very important in cases of UTI that the medicines are taken properly, because certain infections are very stubborn and can lead it on to become a chronic infection.
I need some additional history to be able to help you. Is your blood coming out through the pee, or do you feel it's like spotting? Again if the intake of water is low, it becomes easier for the bacteria to colonize and they do not get flushed out. It can move up the tract and later manifest as cystitis. Do you have any burning micturition? Do you have any increased frequency of urination?
Regarding your cycles, what's the average length of your cycle? When was the last time you got your period?
Once you reply, i can assist you further.
Regards
Its not like spotting at all .the blood comes from vagina just like how it comes during menses but just the quantity is too less then compared to that of during the actual menses.
No burning
No increased frequency of urination
Mensuration Details :
Generally first three days I get a heavy flow , say around I have to change 2-3 sanitary pads properly filled up per day
And from the fourth day the flow is reduced where I need around 1-2 pads per day
My menses last long upto 6-7 days to clear up completely.
My 2 day is the one where I get the most heavy flow.
And the most unusual thing about my menses is I don't feel tired , irritated , mood swing etc...its just like any other normal day for me only I have use sanitary pads thats it.
Hello. Thank you for writing to us again.
I went through your history. I will advise you to get some investigations done to get a clearer picture.
1) USG- Pelvis ( To rule out PCOS )
2) Thyroid Profile ( one of the commonest causes of irregular periods is thyroid disorders)
3) Serum FSH and LH ( to rule out hormonal imbalance )
The USG pelvis will help us to evaluate your internal structures such as ovaries to rule out causes such as PCOS, ovarian cysts ( e.t.c ) In case there is hormonal imbalance it can be regularised by taking progesterone tablets. Hence the investigations are necessary.
Did you have unprotected intercourse? In that case it is also better to rule out pregnancy by UPT. Very rarely ectopic pregnancy can present with vaginal bleeding. It is a rare possibility, however it is better to rule it out.
Till you get the investigations done, i will advise the following medicine :
1) Tab. Trapic 500 mg 1-0-1 twice daily for 5 days.
This medicine will control the irregular bleeding.
Please get the investigations done and upload the reports to help me guide you further.
Regards
Ok surely ill get the test done and update the results...may I get your contact number doctor if you don't mind or else its completely fine I will contact you back here only rather. Well I would just like to know how long will the test report take to come out .
Thank you for writing to us again.
Sorry I can't share my contact number. You can upload all your reports and i will advise you further.
The ultrasound report will come on the same day itself. For thyroid profile some centers may take 2-3 days time.
Serum FSH/LH is done in the early morning, after taking an appointment, hence i can expect that at most all your reports will be ready in a couple of days time.
